21-Day Habit Tracker For The New Year

Over the years I have used various things to track my habits. From bullet journals, spreadsheets to apps on my phone and anything that was handy at the time. This year I decided to set up a template to track my habits. It would just make it easier to establish a routine and track it. They say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit so I figured a 21-day habit tracker would be a great place to start.

I have created a staple 21-day habit tracker, a budget tracker, savings tracker and a student tracker. They can be used for tracking all the important stuff you want to track. Click on the links below to download the free printables.

21-Day HABIT TRACKER FOR THE NEW YEAR

Depending on what you want to track I have provided a one place fits all. This way you can track just about anything in once place without too much of a hustle. I think it would be great to see how you are doing in one place and I am excited to start.

The goal of these trackers is to see where there are areas for improvement and to celebrate areas that you are succeeding. Remember if you fail you can always re-start your 21-days with more motivation to correct where you failed the first or second time.

The habits that I am planning to track include:

  • No alcohol for 21 days. I would like to detox, and I am planning on hitting the reset button on my alcohol consumption. The visual I created below will make it evident when I fall of the wagon so to speak. Just check off or cross off each day you don’t drink alcohol.
  • Exercise three days a week for 21 days. I went on vacation in November and I haven’t been able to get back to my exercise routine. My goal is to exercise three days a week and if I have a bonus workout for four days I will treat myself to something. I am not sure what the treat will be but I will improvise. You can also use this as an incentive to workout.
  • Follow my Keto meal plan. I created a 7-day Keto meal plan that I plan to follow for 21 days. I will simply eat the recipes that I have in the plan during the 3 weeks. The meal plan is designed to be simple to avoid failing because if you try to do too much sometimes you end up doing nothing well.
  • Drinking water. I included a water tracker because hydration is so important. People always forget to drink water and this tracker will be a reminder for me to get my drink on.
  • No spending for 21 days. I am super excited to do this challenge. As a reminder it’s always good to be realistic with such a challenge because necessities are important. This challenge is for things like clothes I don’t need, eating out, buying lunch or breakfast. I plan to cook my meals at home and avoid buying food in those 21 days. Also I am planning to cut back on entertainment and will find ways to keep myself entertained from home. As an additional resource I have included these two posts I wrote on how to save $10,000 a year and how to avoid being broke so this challenge fits well as a starting point.
  • Sleeping habits are so important and I really want to be more intentional with my overall wellbeing in the new year. My plan is to focus on doing things that are good for my body. I plan to get 6-8 hours of sleep everyday with the main goal being 8 hours. On the tracker the idea is to graph out how many hours you sleep everyday for 21 days and see the pattern at the end. Also track how you feel as you go through the 21 days.

Other Tracking Ideas:

  • Savings and Budgeting tracker. I always encourage everyone to save and budget as often as possible. That’s because it is so important to know where your money goes and saving for the future is also just as important. Using the templates below you can track your budget using the printable I included. In addition I have included a post on the process of creating a budget. In this post I have included a budget template that will work perfectly with this budgeting tracker.
If you are up for it, I have a savings tracker that you can use to track how fast you are saving. You could double or table the amounts to save more.
  • Student Trackers. These are trackers that students can use for assignments, exams and such. You can track assignments, exams and projects by using the template I have provided below.
