If you are an accountant provide accounting services or consulting. Remember whatever you do at your job you could probably do for yourself and get paid well. One of my cousins is an engineer and after working for a company for so long he quit and started his own shop. Guess what, he is doing great! Challenge yourself because the opportunities are unlimited.
Airbnb
This has been a great option for people with homes that are close to the city or tourist attractions. If you have a spare room that you can rent out what are you waiting for? Alternatively, if you have a vacation home it could pay for itself so start thinking of any extra space that you have as an investment.
Uber and Lyft
Uber and Lyft have been a great alternative to public transportation and taxis. Usually when I take a ride share the driver is usually someone who has a day job and they drive Uber or Lyft for extra cash. Your car could literally pay for itself by just investing a few hours to drive people around.
Sell your old stuff
Sights like eBay, Amazon and Facebook are great for selling gently used stuff. You simply take a photo, provide a description and sell. Alternatively, you can do a yard sale, just go through your garage or attic and sell things that you don’t use anymore.
Find delivery jobs
This could be for pizza or anything that needs to be delivered. There are boards that are constantly looking for people to courier stuff if you and if you have a small van this may be a great option to make some money over the weekend.
Sell your textbooks
Did you just get out college or are in college? Make sure that you resell your books. It doesn’t matter how much you sell them for in my opinion. I have never heard of anyone who ever went back and used their old textbooks after graduating. Unless they were doctors or something like that and even then, that’s a stretch.
Take a paid online survey
There are numerous companies that will pay you to do a survey. They need the information that you will provide, and they are free to join. The top ones are Survey Junkie, Swagbucks and Vindale Research.
