INSTAGRAM SPOTS IN NYC

Are you trying to fancy up your Instagram page? These are the top 10 Instagram spots in NYC that you can’t miss. I recently traveled to New York for a long weekend and after sightseeing there were places that felt like if you didn’t see them then did you really visit New York? I would recommend using the subway and going for a longer time than the weekend because by the time we were done I was exhausted.

Start your day super early and head to the places below:

1. The Brooklyn Bridge

The oldest bridge in New York and one of the most iconic spots in New York is the Brooklyn Bridge. This makes it high on the list of top 10 Instagram spots in NYC. You want to get there early if you want to get good photos with no people in them. Be courteous to other people who want to get photos as well and be careful not to get knocked over by the bikers. Simply put, stay in your lane!

Pro tip head over to the intersection of Tillary and Boerum Street for the pedestrian walkway. You’ll see people running just follow them. This is the best side to enter from for the Manhattan skyline to be behind you.

3. Pebble Beach

Just straight ahead is Pebble Beach. Walk over for more great views of the bridge and the waterfront. It really is beautiful and later in the day comeback to enjoy a drink in the park as well as people watch. There’s always something going on there, so you won’t be bored. Jane’s carousel is also right there for that beautiful shot on the horses with the city and water behind you.

4. Tribeca

Tribeca has an old New York feel that I just loved. The buildings are old and the streets are empty on a weekend morning. Head over to Staple Street Skybridge for the insta-famous photo spot. This bridge connects two apartments and it will cost you millions to own both, must be nice to be rich! By now you should be starting to feel hungry but hold on a little longer there is one spot you must hit before you take a break.

Address; 9 Jay Street, Tribeca

5. Top of the Rock, Rockefeller

Let me just take a minute to thank the wonderful people that work there. They were some of the friendliest people I encountered in New York. Buy your ticket ahead of time and be ready to walk in without having to wait in the lines. This is a popular place and it does get crowded so go early!

Address: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York

6. Grand Central Station

This is also an iconic spot in New York. You will probably want to visit this place first thing in the morning as it is extremely crowded even on the weekend. It’s such a beautiful building and so much history there so don’t skip it. If you find yourself there when its extremely busy get creative with photos.

7. The Flatiron Building

This is also a very popular Instagram spot, so it does make the list. You can go here at any time as it’s a street shot. The building was opened in 1902 and it’s become a sort of landmark in New York. Try not to get too close to the building itself to get good shots. I loved the cross walk in front of the building as it’s far enough to get the whole building in your photo. In the summer there are seats and vendors selling food so you can take a break here and people watch or just kill time.

8. Bethesda Fountain

This is in Central Park and I just absolutely loved it. You cannot visit NYC and miss this spot. The beauty of it earns it a spot on the top 10 Instagram spots in NYC. I can’t believe I didn’t know that this place existed right in the city. It’s a gorgeous building right in front of the fountain that gets bypassed by people. There are stairs on the other side so you can’t miss it.

Bonus points here because you can walk around Central Park, rest and people watch. New Yorkers love to exercise, it was a weekend and there were tonnes of people running, riding and doing yoga on a Saturday morning yikes!

While here stop at The Mall, Bows Bridge, The Boat House, The Pond and Gapstow Bridge.

9. Highline Park

This was such a great addition to the list of places to visit in New York. I doubted it a little but I am so glad I went. The Highline is one of the most recognized city parks in the world due to its innovation. It is set above the streets of New York, so you must take some stairs and walk the whole stretch. There is art work, vendors selling food, drinks and best of all you can avoid the cars on the street below.

These are both beautiful buildings that have become instafamous. Of course, you want to get there early to get your photos but don’t kill yourself to get there early. The Oculus opens at 10 and Hudson Yards is a structure that you can take photos in front of.
